On Thursday, the long awaited reunion between AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts finally happened, and coincidentally, cameras were there to catch every moment of it.
Before joint practice between the Birds and Patriots kicked off, AJ ran up to Jalen, they dapped each other up, smiled, exchanged pleasantries, and went their separate ways.
AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts hug it out
The natural reaction to seeing this is positive, truthfully. I smiled, at lest for a brief moment, until I remembered AJ Brown told reporters on Wednesday that he hadn’t talked to Jalen since the trade, and that this thing was probably just for show so people stopped asking about it.
I hate trying to get inside the mind of someone I don’t personally know. I have no idea what goes on in the mind of AJ Brown. All I have is what he’s said publicly about the whole ordeal with the Eagles and his actions. Based on that, I can’t help but think AJ just did this because the cameras were out. He went out of his way to do it, the day after being asked about it because he wants to be seen as the bigger man.
He’s a great player, I’d never take that away from him. He’s also a head case who the Eagles are better off without right now. If this is the last time we have to talk about the AJ-Jalen relationship, I’ll be happy.
